Christmas Reading Contest for Adults

HOW TO PLAY:

  • When you check out a Christmas book/audiobook from the WPL between November 30th to December 18th, you will receive a cookie (a cookie-shaped card). A maximum of 2 cookies will be given at checkout.
  • Only fiction Christmas books/audiobooks checked out at the WPL will count towards the contest
(ebooks or audiobooks checked out on Libby/Overdrive are not included in this contest)
  • Once you are finished with your book(s), fill out your cookie card & drop it in “Santa’s Milk” at the front desk.

Make sure to get your cookies in before noon on Friday, December 18th.

Two winners will be announced Monday, December 21st.
The person with the most cookies will receive a cash prize of $100.00! The other winner will receive a Christmas gift basket!

Merry Christmas From all of us at the Woodward Public Library!

The WPL is asking all customers to wear a mask while inside the library

Because Covid-19 cases are on the rise nationwide and in our own community, we ask that everyone wear a mask inside the library to protect both customers and staff. If you do not have a mask, we can provide one to you for free (children’s sizes are also available).

The County of Woodward is strongly encouraging masks in indoor spaces and when unable to keep a six-foot distance between you and another community member. You can read the Proclamation of the City of Woodward HERE and/or the County of Woodward’s Resolution HERE.

RBDigital is Moving!

The Woodward Public Library will be moving our digital ebooks and audiobooks from RBdigital to the Libby app as part of our OverDrive collection on September 9, 2020. You will continue to be able to browse, borrow, and enjoy all the same great ebooks and audiobooks you loved in the RBdigital app, now available in Libby.

If you have already been enjoying the Libby app, there will be no change, other than you may notice even more great titles available for you to borrow.

Transition from RBdigital

If you currently have a book checked out in the RBdigital app, it will be available through the remainder of the lending period, so you can finish your title without disruption or risk of losing your place in the book. Holds will not be moved, but you may export your Transaction History from the RBdigital websites by accessing My Account > Profiles. You can place holds on those titles again in Libby.

For the time being, you can continue to use the RBdigital app to access magazines through ZINIO.

Getting Started with Libby

Our library is proud to continue to offer you a wide selection of digital titles for you to access anytime, anywhere through Libby, the one-tap reading app.

For those who have not yet tried the Libby app, all you need to get started is your library card number and the default pin/pass [userpass] all lowercase and without the brackets.

The Libby app is easy to use and will guide you through the setup process and get you connected to our library in just a few minutes. You can find in-app support, or visit the Help site or Libby Academy within the app for assistance.

New to ebooks and audiobooks?

In just a few taps, you can start reading or listening instantly on your phone or tablet. The digital library is available 24/7 without leaving home and is free from our library. Choose from bestsellers, fiction, nonfiction, books for kids, and more. Download the Libby app to get started!
