22nd Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest

Get ready to unleash your creativity and transform ordinary pumpkins into extraordinary works of art. Our annual contest is open to all ages and offers a chance to showcase your artistic talents and a chance to win cash prizes.

How to Enter:

  1. Create and decorate a unique pumpkin character.
  2. Give your pumpkin a name.
  3. Register your pumpkin at the library between Monday, October 15 and Friday, October 18.

Important Notes:

  • Only decorate the surface of your pumpkin. Pumpkins with carving, holes, or punctures will not be accepted.
  • Make sure your pumpkin can stand on its own before you leave it at the library.

Registration Details:

  • Registration ends at 11:45 AM on Friday, October 18.
  • Provide your name and phone number during registration.
  • Register your pumpkin in the appropriate category (school grade, adult, or family).

Prizes:

  • Participants are eligible to win a cash prize.
  • Winners will be selected by judges, with the exception of the People’s Choice.
  • Winners will be announced on Tuesday, October 29.

Prize Amounts:

  • People’s Choice: $100
  • Family: $50
  • 1st – 5th grade: $50
  • 6th – 12th grade: $50
  • Adult: $50

Voting:

  • Anyone can vote for the People’s Choice Award.
  • Voting occurs between October 21-26.
  • One vote per person is allowed each day.

Pumpkin Pick-Up:

  • Pumpkin pick-up begins Wednesday, October 30.
  • Pick up your pumpkin before 6:45 PM on Tuesday, October 31.
  • Any pumpkins left at the library after this time will be disposed of on Friday, November 1.
