The Woodward Public Library is dedicated to providing accessible services to all community members. To enhance accessibility, we have recently completed several upgrades to our facilities.

Community-Driven Improvements

Earlier this year, we held a community conversation to gather feedback from patrons with mobility disabilities. The valuable insights from this discussion have guided our improvement efforts.

Key Improvements:

  • New Seating: We have replaced aging furniture in our community room with comfortable, sturdy chairs, many of which include armrests for added support.
  • Improved Curb Access: The City of Woodward Streets Department refinished the curb near our accessible parking spaces, creating a smoother and more accessible entry point.

A Commitment to Inclusion

These improvements are just the beginning. We are dedicated to creating an inclusive library environment for everyone. We invite you to explore our library’s resources and services. Whether you’re looking for a good book, researching a topic, or attending a program, you’ll find a welcoming and accessible space at the Woodward Public Library

About the Libraries Transforming Communities Initiative

This project was made possible, in part, by a grant from the American Library Association’s Libraries Transforming Communities: Accessible Small and Rural Communities initiative. This initiative empowers libraries to address accessibility challenges and better serve individuals with disabilities.
