23rd Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest

Get ready to show off your creativity! The library's 23rd annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest is back, and we can't wait to see what amazing pumpkin characters you create.

How to Enter

To enter, just create and decorate a unique pumpkin character and give it a name. Remember, only the surface of the pumpkin can be decorated. Pumpkins with any carving, holes, or punctures will not be accepted.

Registration

Bring your completely decorated pumpkin to the library to register between Tuesday, October 14, and Thursday, October 16. Any paint, glue, decoration, etc. should be completely dry. Make sure your pumpkin can stand on its own before you leave the library.

During registration, you'll give us your name and phone number and enter your pumpkin in a category:

• School Grade (1st-5th or 6th-12th)

• Adult

• Family

Registration for all categories closes promptly at 6:45 PM on Thursday, October 16.

Voting

The People's Choice Award is up to you! Anyone can vote for their favorite pumpkin between October 17 and October 23. You can cast one vote per person each day, so be sure to stop by and support your favorite pumpkin characters.

Contest Winners & Prizes

All winners will be announced on Saturday, October 25, at the annual Pumpkin Drop. Winners will be contacted the following week when their prizes are ready for pickup.

• Family: $50

• 1st-5th Grade: $50

• 6th-12th Grade: $50

• Adult: $50

Pumpkin Pick-Up

You can pick up your pumpkins and prizes starting Monday, October 27. All pumpkins must be picked up by 6:45 PM on Wednesday, October 29. Any pumpkins left after this time will be disposed of.
