24th Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest

Contest Rules

• Use a real pumpkin. Artificial pumpkins (plastic, foam, etc.) are not eligible.

• Decorate only the surface of your pumpkin (no carving, holes, or punctures are allowed).

• Give your pumpkin character a name.

• Themes are open, and creativity is encouraged!

• Entries will be on display in the library, so please keep designs family-friendly and suitable for all audiences.

Registration

Bring your completed pumpkin to the Library and register during the following dates:

October 13-15

Registration closes at 6:45 PM on Thursday, October 15.

Your pumpkin must:

• Be fully decorated and dry

• Be able to stand on its own

• Be ready for display when registered

Participants will provide their name and phone number and register in one of the following categories:

• 1st-5th Grade

• 6th-12th Grade

• Adult

• Family

Voting

Vote for your favorite pumpkin in the People's Choice Award competition!

Voting Dates: October 16-22

• One vote per person per day

• Anyone may vote

Prizes

Cash prizes will be awarded in the following categories:

• People's Choice Award: $100

• Family Category: $50

• 1st-5th Grade: $50

• 6th-12th Grade: $50

• Adult Category: $50

Winners will be announced on October 26 and will be contacted when prizes are ready for pickup.

Pumpkin Pickup

Pumpkin and prize pickup begins October 26.

All pumpkins must be picked up by 6:45 PM on October 28. Any pumpkins remaining at the library after that time will be discarded.
