Author Luncheon with Mary Coley
Meet the author, Mary Coley!
You are invited to an author luncheon featuring the mystery author and 2022 Book Award Winner for Fiction, Mary Coley. On Wednesday, March 29th at 12:00 PM, Coley will be at the Woodward Conference Center to discuss her latest and award-winning book, Blood on the Mother Road, and her experiences as a writer. This free event is sponsored by the Woodward Public Library and open to everyone.
Born and raised in Enid, Oklahoma, Mary Coley is a lifelong writer. She published her first mystery, Cobwebs, in 2013. Her newest series, Oklahoma Mystery, features Claire Northcutt, a news reporter. The first in the series, Blood on the Cimarron won the Hillerman Award in 2018. The sequel, Blood on the Mother Road, takes place in Persimmon, OK, a fictional town near Tulsa on Route 66, where Claire detects a possible coverup, and becomes friends with a mysterious waitress, Rhonda at Tiny’s Route 66 Diner. Blood on the Mother Road won the 2022 Oklahoma Book Award for Fiction. Coley lives and works in Tulsa.
