21st Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest

The 21st Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest is just around the corner!

Create your own unique pumpkin character to enter the contest! Only decorating the surface of the pumpkin is allowed (no carving, holes, or punctures). Pumpkin registration begins October 16th. Read the contest rules below. We can’t wait to see your spooktacular creations!

CONTEST RULES

  • Create and decorate a unique pumpkin character.
  • Decorate only the surface of the pumpkin. Pumpkins with carving, holes, or punctures will NOT be accepted.
  • Name your pumpkin character.
  • Register your pumpkin at the library.

REGISTRATION

Bring your decorated pumpkin to the Library and register between October 16-19. Registration ends at 6:45 PM on Thursday, October 19. Pumpkins will be registered based as school grade, adult, or family category.

CASH PRIZES

Participants are eligible to win a cash prize. Winners will be selected by judges, with the exception of the People’s Choice.

  • People’s Choice – $100
  • Family – $50
  • 1st – 5th grade – $50
  • 6th – 12th grade – $50
  • Adult – $50

VOTING

Anyone can vote for the People’s Choice winner. Voting lasts October 21-25, One vote per person each day is allowed.

PUMPKIN PICK UP

Pumpkin pick up begins Saturday, October 28th, after the contest winners have been announced. Pick up your pumpkin before 6:45 PM on Tuesday, October 31st. Any remaining pumpkins will be disposed.
